Wish us luck - we are in court again tomorrow in Potchefstroom to testify as to the suffering caused by two individuals to their horses in 2005.... yes, 2005!

A press release will be available shortly regarding a very positive meeting held recently with OBP,to ensure the welfare of their horses

Are they both geldings Bella?
Are they in the same paddock? If so, I would suggest that you separate them. Then, ask a suitably experienced, preferably qualified person to help your sister with her pony.

Hi Bev.
I am in no hurry to push her. She is really sweet. It is just that I have never had a foal and in a matter of a year I got 2. The colt I had gelded as I don't want him to one get any other pregnant or his mother. But he will be 2 in September and is there to just love and roam. Thanks
Bev Seabourne on Tuesday 12 August 2008 - 05:41:21
Hi there Gloudi - yes, you can start working with her now, very slowly!
Bev Seabourne on Tuesday 12 August 2008 - 05:40:12
Hello Kathy! Thanks for being a site member.
If your old horse is in good condition now on the feed you are giving him, I would not add anything more to his diet.

Hi Bev.
I need some advice. Three years ago we had a suprize visit from the stork. The filly will be three on the 15 september. She is a little bit of everything and quite stocky in build can we start bringing her into work after her 3rd birthday? She is 15.1 h. A real sweetheart

Hi I cant believe the state of some of these horses. I have a 24 year old TB who lost condition trememndously thus last year, and have had two different vet in. The dentist will be seeing him soon and he gets dewormed every 3 months as do the others. I just want to know, on 4 kgs Alzu a day with speedibeet, lucern 3x day and grazing if I give him spurwing conditioner as well is that overkill? He is still full of life and enjoys his food and still gives one and all grief.

Hello Bella! It is important to let all of the children know that they are not to touch the pony - as you know, any pony or horse can give a very nasty bite!
It is possible to stop your pony from biting, but it may take a while. Ask the children to help you with this, and tell them that to stop playing with him is the first step. Maybe they could help you make a sign for his stable door or paddock to say PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ME - I DO NOT WANT TO BITE YOU ? Something like that!
Bev Seabourne on Friday 08 August 2008 - 02:34:48
Nikita, could you try to trace your horses history? Maybe you will be able to find out that way - - if he was gelded, then you can contact the vet to ask him directly
bella on Wednesday 06 August 2008 - 10:23:51

LILLY: It's less than 2 months' stabling and feeding; not expensive at ALL! I'm guessing HHCU set the price to a) try to recover a very small percentage of what they've already spent keeping the horse and b) to make sure that whoever adopts them can afford to keep the horse?
LILLY on Friday 01 August 2008 - 08:58:18
why is it so expensive to adopt a horse
